LARGE VINTAGE PIMA or PAPAGO FIGURAL "SCORPION" BASKET 12" EXCELLENT CONDITION!

Offered here for auction is a large, vintage Native American figural oval basket with a very cool Scorpion design. I bought this about 15 years ago and it was identified as being Pima or Papago. I am not a basket expert so I am selling it identified as I obtained it. It is slightly darker in color than in the pictures as I use lights and they tend to make items appear slightly lighter than in the hand, so please take that into account. It has a lovely patina; straw colored with chocolate brown designs. It is in generally excellent condition with no stitch loss or rim damage. It does have a few very small stains on the inside as I have illustrated in the pictures. A very unusual basket to add to your collection!!

Diameter of the basket viewed from the top as you see it in the picture: 12” x 10.5”. Height: 3”.
