CANADA 1¢ PSC McCLARY’S JAN 1903 TO KAZUBAZUA P17

Description

The 1898 1¢ green Maple Leaf postal stationery card with advertising for McClary’s, perhaps best known for their stoves, but in thie case featuring Samson’s milk cans and promoting their enameled and tin products.  Slogan for their stoves “Kure Kranky Kooks (cooks) .”  Used from Vancouver (Dec 29, 1903 cancel) to Kazubazua (Jan. 4, 1904 receiver)(now Kazabazua).  The McClary’s Vancouver branch was opened in 1894.  NOTE light tanning at left and bottom edges (stamp side) – see scans below – otherwise good condition.  Webb P17.
