A very attractive 1829 better date capped bust dime graded MS 61 by NGC. It carries a sharp strike with crusty original toned surfaces that match evenly throughout both sides. This coin looks ever so slightly proof-like when being tilted in the light. It has been labeled by NGC to be the the Small 10c variety and specifically the JR-7.
This date holds a total mintage of 770,000. However, of this mintage, the PCGS Coin Facts estimates that only 1,000 have survived today for this 'small 10c' style. It is one of only two graded Mint State 61 by NGC for this JR-7 variety.
